Kaycie Merkel, MSW, LSW

Talking openly with someone about our problems can feel scary. My goal is for you to always feel safe and heard as we dive into places of the mind in which you may never have explored before. By taking this healing journey together, I hope to work together to discover the unhelpful and negative thinking patterns that often lead us to where we are today. It is important to understand where these thoughts are coming from, so that we can begin to make the changes we want to see in our lives.

I have experience working with children, teens, and adults. I earned my B.A in Social Work from Akron University and earned a Masters in Social Work from The Ohio State University. My preferred pronouns are she/ her.

I'm so glad you landed here! Sometimes we don't know how to ask for help or what that process looks like. I promise to meet you exactly where you are at, and help you get to where you want to be. Throughout therapy, I aim to a realistic but encouraging environment, so that everyone feels heard and understood. I hope to see you soon!
