Hi, there. My name is Rose Miletic. I am an independently licensed professional clinical counselor who has been involved with the mental health field for over 10 years. I hold a bachelor’s of arts degree in psychology and master of arts degree in clinical mental health counseling from Franciscan University. I am a nationally certified counselor and have been working for six years as a clinical therapist. I hold several certifications in various areas, such as art therapy, suicide and risk assessment and substance abuse assessment as well as trauma certified professional trainings. I am currently working on being informed on the deaf community and am open to working with interpreters (ASL level I and II).

After earning the degree, I went on to work at several mental health agencies across different settings within the local are of my hometown. I am in process of working with the Gottman Institute to become a Certified Gottman Therapist. I have worked for six years as a therapist but have also worked for five years prior within various settings in the field and have experience in identifying and exploring problems that occur across the lifespan. My focus area is with individuals who may be struggling with self-acceptance, self-love, or have experienced systemic racism, prejudice, and social exclusion and rejection as well as individuals who want to create positive change.

My approach tends to be an interpersonal one where I help my clients to feel that they are just having a conversation that can lead to positive and lasting changes. I follow the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches to changing the way one thinks about the events that happen in life with mindfulness and Positive Psychology. I have informed understanding in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Theories, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy tenants. My practice tends to be family orientated and inclusive to help my client to bridge to others so to help create connection, if needed to help with the healing work. I love to empower others to see the good sides of situations and recover from various conditions. I take a great deal of joy and passion creating a warm place for others to feel included and to find ways to collaborate on problem solving.
